It is said that clerks are there as an assistants or helpers. Some people may beg to differ, stating that most clerks do all the work.

However, one recent case proved the latter statement to be wrong. The person dishing out the job seems to get everything thrown back (legally) by the clerk. Some examples:

Example 1:

Person 1: Clerk, can you get me this document. its at *location*.
Clerk: Sorry, I just posted in.. I don’t know the area well.
Person 1: *Sigh. No choice*…

Example 2:

Person 1: Hey Clerk.. Isn’t it time to collect the food? Do note that there are 10 people including yourself on duty…
Clerk: It’s 10 people right?
Person 1: That’s right.
Clerk: Sorry. I can’t carry it… I got chronic back problems. My shoulders are loose also.
Person 1: *Arrrgh!!!*

Example 3:

Person 1: Clerk, do you know that there is a daily report under the job scope of your duty?
Clerk: Huh? Sorry. First duty.. Don’t know how.. Can you show me?
Person 1: *tear his hair in frustration*

What a day it is for that person and those on duty. I guess other than the excuse used in example 2, none will work the next time… haha.
