Taking a mean consolation
February 26, 2009It seems so long ago when we enlisted…
At the same time, it always feels that we have a long way to go before we are released. Ask any guy here and most probably they will feel the same.
However, when new guys come in, the time suddenly seems much shorter. People seem to take consolation from someone’s longer ORD. Call it being mean, but being thrown behind the gates have a funny effect on your thinking.
In fact, when we came in, our seniors said:
“Haha. Good luck man. Must wait till (year) 2010. I going off in 2008!”
Till now, that situation never changed. Unknowingly, that thought seems to have been passed on to us when they left.
Though we know we really shouldn’t be doing so, but we can’t help but exclaim:
“Oh my gosh! (year) 2011!
It’s SOooo far away!
All the Best man!”
Oh well… Life’s just like that….
