PCK lives on, in our trains
June 1, 2009While onboard the train, I cannot help but notice the new Land Transport Authority(LTA) advertisement playing in our Mass Rapid Transits (MRT). Although Phua Chu Kang (PCK) has ended its run on Singapore television years back, the character from the popular sitcom still lives on in the train as LTA’s new campaign front for more gracious commuters.
Never looked up at the TV? At this moment, I think its time to turn to youtube:

This isn’t the first time an authority in Singapore has used the much loved (or hated) PCK for a campaign. Singaporeans might be able to recollect PCK’s first video, titled: SAR-Vivor, released when the 2002 SARs hit the world.
Singaporean but can’t remember the video? The following might jolt your memory.

I must admit, I wasn’t sure I could find the 2002 video. Must really thank the wonders of our immortalized world called the World Web Web.
